Christian Weaner is a 2020 graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he earned his bachelor's degree in journalism (plus minors in history and digital media: performance). He is currently working on finishing his Master of Communication from Liberty this May.

During his undergrad, Christian spent several years as the sports director at 90.9 FM The Light radio station in Lynchburg and was the assistant sports editor for the Liberty Champion Newspaper for a semester. Today, in addition to being a staff writer for Like Media, he is a promotional writer in the Marketing Department at Liberty University, and also does freelance writing and broadcasting for IdahoSports.com.

Christian and his wife Rayan relocated to Bonners Ferry, Idaho (where his wife’s family has resided since 2015) in 2022. “After spending the first year of our marriage in Virginia, Rayan and I decided to move to Idaho to be close to family while she began her teaching career at Bonners Ferry High School. We love the beauty of North Idaho and the small-town community that Bonners Ferry has to offer,” shares Christian.

Christian joined the Like Media team as a staff writer in July of 2022, where he has shared his talents as a writer throughout all Like Media’s publications. “From the moment I began at Like Media, Jillian and the entire staff have been nothing but encouraging to me. I am very proud of the quality publications that I get to be a part of creating, but the team-oriented atmosphere within the organization is amazing.”
